Jesse had a stubborn streak but God’s enduring love pursued and finally persuaded to be willing to get help.

Jesse and Krystal are married and have two young boys. They graduated the Orange County Rescue Mission program and just moved into their own place. But they had to travel a long, hard road to get there due to Jesse’s addictions and unwillingness to turn to God.

Krystal came to faith in Jesus first. Her new-found faith led her to the OC Mission and an attitude of humility and receptivity. Jesse… well, not so much. He kept resisting God’s offer of salvation and kept trying to do things his way.

Eventually Jesse realized God’s ways are not our ways… and His ways work out better!

Today, both Krystal and Jesse have completed the program at the OC Mission, have secured employment positions, are attending church and weekly marriage and parenting classes. Jesse takes responsibility for the family leadership and is owning his past failures while finding hope for a fresh new start. They both are committed to their relationships with each other, God, and family.

Two Deed and Truth teams recently worked together to move them into their new three-bedroom townhome in Buena Park. It was cool to see how well the two teams meshed. One of the teams was brand new to H2H and to a person were blown away by the joy in serving Jesus for the benefit of this special family.

The best line of the day… One sweet volunteer, at the end of the day, said, “This has been the best day of my life!” Once Krystal, Jesse, and their two boys saw the transformation of their empty apartment into a stunning home they felt the same way 🙂

Please pray for Jesse to continue to learn, grow, and develop into the husband and father he desires to be, and pray also for the entire family to seek God first in their life journey.
