“Recovery, healing, and restoration is like trying to jump to the moon. You can’t do it on your own.”
That is Kenny’s quote and the theme of his testimony. Kenny spent five years on the streets before arriving at the Orange County Rescue Mission. It was there that he met his future bride Shawna.
Kenny and Shawna graduated the OCRM recovery program in 2017. Today they have experienced 6.5 years of sobriety and three years of marriage.
Kenny has been working fulltime in the landscape & maintenance departments at the OCRM for the past three years. He loves his job and thanks the Lord regularly for such awesome employment. Shawna is a caregiver for an elderly woman. They are both active members at the Anaheim Calvary Chapel and serve on the worship team.
Deed and Truth recently provided Kenny & Shawna with a new queen bed frame and mattress. They have been sleeping on a very old dilapidated bed. All they requested from our House2Home ministry was a good night’s sleep. We were happy to accommodate them knowing how important sleep is for our health and continued recovery.
Please pray for Kenny & Shawna this week as they continue their journey to follow the Lord together. Pray for them to get a good night’s rest on their new bed.
