“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual WORSHIP.” – Romans 12:1
Worship is NOT a weekly SERVICE TO ATTEND…
Worship is a SERVICE WE PROVIDE for other people’s edification.
Worship isn’t about ATTENDING A MEETING… It’s about ATTENDING TO NEEDS of others in difficult circumstances.
Worship isn’t RAISING HOLY HANDS Sunday in a Musical Experience…
It’s Meeting Practical Needs Everyday by RAISING HELPFUL HANDS in Christlike Service. Singing in a Sunday gathering is Praise, and that’s a good thing… but it’s NOT Worship!
Being the “church” does NOT imply activity taking place INSIDE the walls of a building… but much more, it describes activity that takes place OUTSIDE the walls of that building.
It’s easy to go and sit and sing with people who all agree. That’s a COMFORT ZONE. We are called to Worship God by getting OUTSIDE that Comfort Zone! Worship sacrifices. Worship risks. Worship costs something.
We don’t store up treasures in heaven by GOING to Religious Gatherings,
… but by GIVING of Ourselves Sacrificially reflecting Christ’s Compassion.
Let’s be people who reflect Jesus out there, and let our lights shine so the world can see God doing GOOD WORKS through our sacrificial love, for those who really need our practical help.
Agreed Pastor Dan!!!!
