1 John 3:18 … “Let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.”

This is the theme verse for the ministry highlighting that love is a verb lived out in our authentic actions… because sometimes words aren’t enough!

Today is March 18… numerically, 318.  We want to use this opportunity to highlight the scope of deeds God is accomplishing through the partnership of our Deed & Truth donors and volunteers.

Through Deed and Truth we serve the under-served, and often over-looked, on the fringes of society. We have a number of different bridges, or ministries, we build to accomplish this.

In 2020 we launched a new ministry called House2Home. That year we helped 23 recovery program graduates turn their houses into homes as they transitioned into independent living. In 2021 that number jumped to 30 families!

We currently help graduates from Hope Gardens, the Union Rescue Mission, Teen Challenge, and the Orange County Rescue Mission. In April we will be serving our first graduate from the San Fernando Mission.

God has also brought us new church and corporate partnerships to provide finances and volunteers. At the moment, we have 10 H2H teams to call on periodically based on the location and availability of the groups.

We are so grateful for all of our donors who have given financially or donated home furnishings. And a BIG shout out to over 100 different volunteers who served hands-on in this ministry collectively donating over 2,500+ volunteer hours physically displaying the love of Jesus whether behind the scenes or in-person at the new homes of our H2H recipients.

Please encourage your friends and loved ones to sign up for our weekly blogs below to hear each of these stories in greater detail. We want to build our subscribers list to increase the exposure of the wonderful things God is doing as we continue to seek to bring him glory by connecting those who want life change with those who want to help to change lives!

  1. Praising God for your faithfulness to so many who have so little but are so thankful for what God has done in their lives!
So great to see so many friends serving the Lord and experiencing His blessing as they help give their time.
No better way to spend our time!
