“I am a survivor of domestic violence.”

Tracy had been experiencing homelessness since 2020 after enduring a violent relationship. She went from couch to couch for years. She struggled with serious depression from her trauma. As a result, she turned to drugs and alcohol to numb her pain.

In 2022 Tracy started looking to God for relief. When she turned her attention to God, he immediately responded and placed all the right people into her life. Eventually she decided to seek help and get sober. Once she surrendered to God she was given an amazing opportunity to enter the recovery program at Hope Gardens in Sylmar, CA, a ministry of the Union Rescue Mission of Los Angeles, for single mothers. Her time at Hope Gardens gave her time to learn to be still and heal from her emotional wounds.

Tracy thrived at Hope Gardens and finished the course and graduated. Tracy now has a job at Olive View Medical Center and is looking to get on with the county of Los Angeles. Recently, she signed a lease on an apartment and our House2Home team from All Nations Church turned her house into a home.

Tracy sent us a text message after the H2H move in…

“We definitely felt the love! When I saw it, I literally wanted to cry. It’s perfect. I love that our beds match. I told Lucy (her 8 year-old daughter), look at so many people that took time to come and bless us. I hope she remembers this for the rest of her life! Thank you soo much.”

Please keep Tracy and Lucy in your prayers. That first year of transition is difficult and can be scary. And a big shout out to our awesome volunteers from ALL NATIONS CHURCH. Thank you for your compassionate hearts and willingness to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

  1. It made me want to cry, too. God is so good!
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18
ANC rocked being the hands and feet of the Lord!
