Leaders who serve in ministry have many demands, and their schedules are very difficult to contain as they need to be available to those in need 24/7/365. Therefore, Deed and Truth wanted to do something special for one of these dedicated leaders in a very tangible way.

Pastor Ed Robinson serves as Senior Pastor at Hope in Christ Community Church in the impoverished community of Compton, CA. Deed and Truth partners with this church in multiple ministries including the Compton Initiative, Racial Reconciliation talks, and an after-school learning and recreational center which we are planning to launch in 2021. Ed has been a guest speaker at the URM on multiple occasions, and I have presented the Sunday morning message at Hope in Christ Church many times.

Deed and Truth provided Pastor Ed and his wife, Yvonne, with a getaway vacation. Last month we arranged for them to stay for a week at a timeshare in Coronado to help celebrate their 38th Wedding Anniversary. Here are Pastor Ed’s words of gratitude that he wished to express.

Dear Brother Dan, Sister Betty, and Deed & Truth supporters,

Words are so inadequate to express our thanks. We send our love and appreciation to you for giving us the wonderful, didn’t-see-it-coming, BLESSING.

Please accept this “informal” communique, on behalf of Yvonne and I, as a measure of APPRECIATION and GRATEFULNESS for the OVERWHELMING display of love and care you extended to us. We can’t remember the last time we’ve been able to get away and unplug for seven days.

While on Coronado island, we were able to refresh, renew, reconnect and refuel our faith and energy. Furthermore, we had a chance to explore different things on the island; cruised over to Imperial Beach and San Diego; and ate at a few of the nice steakhouses. Lastly, THANKS for helping us to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary in GRAND style. “We’re most humbled and we love you.” God Bless!!!

Pastor Ed & Yvonne

Please pray for Pastor Ed and Yvonne as they ponder God’s direction for 2021, and prepare for God’s calling on their lives and ministry. We say a heartfelt “thank you” to all our donors for partnering with us to be the hands and feet of Jesus by loving on these two precious and selfless servants.
