He chased her with a baseball bat and she just kept running.

Kandice was living with her family when the father of her two children showed up and began creating a very volatile environment. One day he chased her with a baseball bat and she just kept running with just the clothes on her back. They were homeless for six months before she entered the program at the Orange County Rescue Mission.

Kandice has worked extremely hard to get back on her feet and find stability for herself and children. It has taken five years but now she finally feels like she’ll be Okay on her own. She says that God has been there on her whole journey and has a heart full of gratitude for him showing her the way.

Our House2Home team from Grace Church in Laguna Niguel moved Kandice and her children into their new place. A special shout out to all the Grace Volunteers and those who donate furniture and finances to help Kandice transition into independent living.
