Selena had a deep hole to climb out of but took advantage of every opportunity in the process to wellness.

Selena is a graduate of the Orange County Rescue Mission. She is an amazing woman with a heart for Jesus and a desire to be a godly mother to her five year old son, Jace.

She was strung out on Meth and living in her boyfriend’s mother’s garage! Her drug use led to her arrest and she was charged with child neglect. CPS was called in to take custody of her son. Losing Jace was devastating and Selena knew she needed help to get her life together to regain custody of her little boy.

Selena claims that entering the OCRM was the best, and toughest, decision she has ever made. During her three years at the mission Selena got her driver’s license, finished the classes needed to graduate High School and get a HS diploma, cleared her record of tickets, got off probation, remained clean and sober, and has learned many necessary life skills.

As a result of her hard work and consistent live change she has been reunified with Jace!

Selena sees doing life with Jesus is a must. She has a job she feels good about at Goodwill and helps adults with disabilities. She and Jace attend Mariners Church in Tustin.

Please pray for Selena and Jace as they transition out of the mission and into a more independent living environment. A big THANK YOU to our House2Home team at Pacific Coast Church in San Clemente who helped turn her new empty townhouse into a home. It’s now a beautiful space to raise her son and get moving toward her new life and all the challenges and victories that await her along that journey.
