The first time around they did things the wrong way. They are determined to do it right this time around.

Connie and Lou have been clean now for four years. They have been reunited with their three- year-old son Matthew. Both of them graduated the OC Rescue Mission program and are ready for a fresh start to see what God has planned for them.

Gina Hughes, our Deed and Truth Chaplain, serves at the OCRM and has personally been mentoring Connie.

Chap Gina shared the following: “Connie is an amazing example of what a godly woman looks like! She’s made the life decision to intentionally follow hard after Jesus and His Word. Since giving her life to Jesus, Connie has begun a whole new life. Starting with a new home, a new career, to boldly sharing her faith with confidence and joy!

Please pray for Connie as she is completing her online schooling and also for Lou as he pursues barbering school to start a new career.

Thanks to the House2Home team from Grace Church in Laguna Niguel for turning their house into a home.

And thank God for the OC Mission, who for the past two years has provided them a time to recover, to get close to God, and to learn life skills that, as Connie says, “have prepared them to get back out there and do it right this time.”
