Broken relationships lead to broken hearts.
Sandy is a domestic abuse victim with 4 children. Love seemed allusive and disappointing. When you can’t find love in a broken world, the one place you think you can turn is your own mother. Not in this case!
Sandy had nowhere to turn because the person who hurt her the most was her own mother. She grew up in a broken home, the daughter of a broken mother. As long as she can remember their relationship was dysfunctional. It culminated in her mother becoming physically abusive and literally stabbing her and leaving her to survive on the streets.
After a month on the street with her children God led her to the Orange County Rescue Mission. Sandy said, “I found the OCRM and it changed my life… I was happy, safe, and had somewhere to sleep for my kids. It sure is a blessing!”
Upon graduating their recovery program, she found a job and a spacious apartment. The House2home team from Pacific Coast Church in San Clemente came into her empty apartment and transformed it into a beautiful place to call home and raise her family.
Sandy’s immediate goals are to stay connected with the OC Mission Alumni Association and their church family. She has learned how valuable relational support is for living a productive and enjoyable life.
Please pray for Sandy and her family as they begin their new journey to break the chain of abuse and replace it with a love that can heal a broken heart.
