Answered prayers shows that God is at work in your life.
Charles Pelser graduated the Orange County Rescue Mission several years ago. Unfortunately, his wife left him to raise their three children on his own due to her drug habit.
Deed and Truth provided a House2Home makeover with the help of teams from Pacific Coast Church in San Clemente and Christ Central Church in Fullerton. The day we moved Charles and his three teenagers into their new home we asked how we could pray for them. His number one prayer request was to see his wife, and the mother of his children, get off the street and into a recovery program.
Within two months of that prayer his wife Natalie found her way to the OC Rescue Mission and entered the recovery program. Natalie thrived and found a new passion as a chef in the Mission training program. She stayed the course and graduated the program. Then she got a job as a chef at a local restaurant.
Last year Natalie and Charles were reunited and she moved back into their home. What a wonderful answer to prayer. But wait, there’s more… They had another prayer that needed an answer.
Not all that long ago we received a call from Natalie. Her father Robert was homeless and living on the street. He had recently called and said he might be ready to get help. Natalie called and asked if we could help. I was able to meet up with Robert and get him into the Recovery Program with the Union Rescue Mission in Los Angeles.
Today Robert is still in the program. We ask for you to pray for Robert to stay the course and find the life transformation that both Charles and Natalie have experienced. God answers prayer. The Pelser family is evidence of that statement. Will you join us in praying for Robert?
