As we move into the new year let’s take a moment to reflect on what God has accomplished through the Deed and Truth ministry this past year.
This past year Deed and Truth has been involved in many different kinds of ministries to help those experiencing homelessness at missions throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Here is an abbreviated list:
- Sponsored men and women to attend seminary classes with TUMI
- Hosted and sponsored monthly community events
- Supplied mini getaway trips for front-line workers
- Held weekly bible studies in multiple locations
- Provided regular outings for those in programs
The primary ministry in 2022 however, is called House2Home. This is a ministry to those families who have experienced homelessness and have completed a recovery/mission program. These generally last for at least 12 months. These parents have already invested heavily in trying to start a new life. Not only have they worked diligently and consistently at graduating from a program but they have also secured an apartment to lease, have a job, money saved in the bank, and are working a sustainable plan for long-lasting life change.
Once a family is referred from one of our partnership organizations, we coordinate their move-in into independent living. One of our H2H teams and the Deed and Truth truck will show up to their new place and we will transform their empty house into a home before dinner time!

Thanks to every one of our friends and donors who have generously given furniture, furnishings, volunteer hours, prayers, and finances to help us end homelessness one family at a time as we strive to connect people ready to make a change with people ready to make a difference!
Most of all we want to give God the credit for providing every good gift from every single volunteer, to every financial donor, to every single resource. We truly believe Romans 11:36, which reads, “For FROM him, and THROUGH him, and TO him are ALL things. To him be glory forever. Amen.”
All the glory to be given to his name!
